Judy Maingi

Judy currently works as a Hub Manager at KCIC. She is a seasoned portfolio management and global trade and investment, business development and financial advisory expert with over ten years experience working with both local organizations and multinationals in various sectors including: banking, real estate, private equity, venture capital and impact investment. She has participated in all aspects of grant management, venture capital, private equity transaction process including deal sourcing, industry research, financial modelling and valuation, preparing investment memorandum, due diligence and ongoing monitoring of portfolio companies. She is well versed in using various financial models in projecting the investment and financial status and predictability functions. Judy has also worked with SMEs and startups and has pioneered various programs including the Techbridge Acceleration Program, National Business Club for National Bank of Kenya and Young Entrepreneurs Program Initiative (YEPI) – Mombasa panelists twice among many other programs focusing on entrepreneurship. Judy holds and MBA in Strategic Management, Bachelor of commerce degree in Accounting, ACCA and professional training and certificates in Business Improvement and Enhancing Financial Access – World Bank IFC, Client Service – Centum Learning, Relationship and Portfolio Management – National Bank of Kenya, Grant Management – Strathmore University and Venture Capital and Private Equity – IFF, London. Judy’s passion lies in annihilating poverty and transforming lives through enhancement of entrepreneurial culture in the African ecosystem by executing growth strategies for Startups, SMEs and Institutions.
