The primary focus of the programme is to provide a range of services needed for women and youth-owned early-stage agribusiness enterprises as well as Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
AgriBiz is an economic empowerment programme that primarily targets rural and peri-urban youth and women who are under-employed and lack the financial resources and know-how to create viable sustainable businesses.
It will primarily be achieved through the promotion of sustainable exploitation of the natural resources base by encouraging appropriate agribusinesses practices by addressing four main hurdles blocking youth and women entrepreneurship in agribusinesses:
